Victim ID'd In Fatal Wrong-Way Crash In Capital Region

A 45-year-old man was identified as the victim killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash in the Capital Region.

Jose Holguin, of Schenectady, was killed when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on on Wolf Road in Colonie at 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, Colonie Police said.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 42-year-old Colonie man, suffered minor injuries.

Monday’s wreck happened near the intersection of Wolf Road and Sand Creek Road, as Daily Voice reported. Holguin was traveling northbound on Wolf Road when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, according to police.

The crash shut down Wolf Road for nearly two hours.
